I guess I never hit publish on the 7 month stats...

and now that we are preparing the 8 month post I might as well just publish this sans pictures...

Whew- where have we been? Busy and tired that's where! Work has run me down and Payton is all over the place now so we are busy playing and getting into things instead of blogging. I'm sure you understand... We are on our way to the big 1 year and I have started thinking about her party. I am still not sure if I will even have a real party or not. I have a lot of ideas but I just don't know that I want to have a big party. Anyways, on with the 7 month stats...

Sleep- After returning from Buffalo we had a rough couple weeks. You got sick and wouldn't sleep anywhere unless it was with us. You would wake up every few hours just crying. Finally once you got better, we put you back in your own room and after a rough week of us going in there to calm you down and get you to sleep, we are back to sleeping pretty normal. Most nights bed time is around 9:30 and we maybe have to go in there once or twice just for the paci. Nothing else. Wake up is anywhere from 6:30 until 8. You are napping two to three times a day. Usually there is a morning nap an hour or so after breakfast, an afternoon nap around 1 or 2 and then an evening nap that should be at around 5 or 5:30 but usually it takes until 6ish to fall asleep.

Daily Routine- I can't say we have much of a routine. In fact, I might just delete this category because with the sleep info and eating info, it is pretty much do what you want.

Feeding- Breakfast is 7oz of formula, 3tbs oatmeal, and 1tbs of fruit. Lunch is 7oz of formula, 2tbs fruit and 2tbs veggie. Dinner is 8oz formula, 2tbs fruit, 2tbs veggies. Snacks in between are yogurt melts and mum mums.

birth- 6lbs 8oz
2 weeks- 7lbs 8oz
1 month- 8lbs 15oz
2 months- 10lbs 5oz
3 months- mommy's guess is 11lbs 13oz... I was close this time! 11lbs 11oz
4 months- mommy's guess is 14lbs 3oz (we will find out Thursday) I was close again! 13lbs 13oz
5 months- our at home estimate is 15lbs  due to a yucky cough we found out you weigh about 15lbs 10oz (dressed and diapered still)
6 months- at home guess 16 lbs 10oz but we will see on Dec 27 15lbs 12oz
7 months- our at home estimate is 17lbs 3oz

birth- 20 inches
2 weeks- 20 1/4 inches
1 month- 21inches
2 months- 23 inches
3 months- 24 inches
4 months- mommy's guess is 25 inches
5 months- we haven't busted out the tape measure but based on the past few months I would guess 26 inches. I will have to check one of these days
6 months- hmm I will guess 26.5 inches until Tuesday 27 inches!!
7 months- it doesn't seem like your height has changed much so I will guess 27.5

Diaper size- still size 2s. They are finally completely fitting even though sometimes they still look big. Hopefully they continue to fit until we are finished with the box and a half we have left.

Clothing size- Anything form 3-6 months to 6-9 months. Most of the 6-9 month things are too long still. I would say you are an average of 6 month size.

Hair color-
birth- brown and a lot of it
1 month- brown but it seems to be lightening and even getting mommy's natural red highlights (you can see them in the sun)- still a lot of it- but it seems she is losing some
2 months- it is looking a little more red in the sun and is thinning out- a lot. She has two bald spots in the back of her head now, instead of just the one she was born with.
3 months- looking brown again and the bald spot in the back is just a hot mess. It looks like we took scissors and cut a straight line clear across the middle. The dr is guessing most of the hair will fall out and grow in a different color.
4 months- oh Payton we are so sorry for this genetic letdown. Your hair is a beautiful color brown with natural red in it, however it is thinning and what isn't gone is a wavy, frizzy mess. I sure hope that changes!
5 months- Still brown with red highlights and seems to be curling a little bit. Nothing too drastic yet but it looks like you may have some curls, at least in your younger years.
6 months- brown and the bald spot in the back is finally starting to fill in
7 months- same as last month and that bald spot is almost gone. The top layer in the back is really long and looks kinda funny but it's cute.

Eye color-
birth- brown/green with a blue outline
1 month- it appears she will have eyes like her daddy- some days they look green, other days brown, other days hazel, and even once or twice they have looked blueish gray.
2 months- they are more brown than green so I am guessing she will have big brown eyes.
3 months- still brown but they have their green days.
4 months- mostly brown but the green/hazel comes out every now and again
5 months- brown eyed girl
6 months- brown (lighter than mommy's)
7 months- I think it is safe to say we have a brown eyed girl

Favorite toy/entertainment- Oh Christmas brought so many toys I am not sure if you have just one favorite. One of your favorites is definitely the gift from Uncle Sean and Aunt Toni. I don't even know what it is called but it has the jumping beans and ferris wheel type thing. You could play with that forever I think... and you love to try and stand on it. They also got you a little piano that you love. I think it is safe to say they got some prize winning Christmas gifts! You also love your Sophie giraffe but we try not to take her out often because I certainly don't want to lose that expensive thing! Really you can play with anything and make it fun.

Nicknames- While you still have some nicknames, I have been calling you Payton pretty often. Payton Grace is also used regularly. You are definitely starting to realize that your name is Payton and I think it is so cute to see you turn when we call your name... even if you are giving us a look because you KNOW you are going to get into something you aren't supposed to have (like Roscoe's food)...

Funniest /Favorite moments- Watching you open your Christmas presents. You knew exactly what to do and that the stuff inside was the good stuff! A funny moment was when you were sitting in your pack and play playing with your toys when all of a sudden you tipped sideways. As you were going down you screamed "ahhh" as if you were on a rollercoaster! Daddy still laughs about that one and he didn't even see it- he just heard it from the kitchen. Now that you are getting so big we just love to watch you learn and discover new things.

We got to Buffalo and bam you can sit. You will sit for a long time playing on the floor with toys. It's like you turned 6 months old and decided you were ready for that.

You are starting to do the rocking back and forth thing and seem to be ready to start crawling. Your dr said since you can scoot around you won't roll because you figured out scooting so long ago (long before rolling) and that is your mode of transportation

You were baptized! And brought our family close again!

You met your big Buffalo family and loved every minute of it.

You are scooting around like crazy. You can get anywhere you want to go and you can get there pretty quick.

You have learned how to pull up on your toys to stand and you just love it!

When you want to go to someone, you stick your arms out for them. So cute!

trip to Buffalo- you did great on the drive there. The drive back was another story.
time opening Christmas presents
time taking a shower- long story but it was the best option in Buffalo without her little tub. I am not brave enough to let you sit in the big tub and the sink is too small for all the splashing and playing you do. So we showered.
time eating pears
time to Christmas Eve mass
time watching a Christmas Story with daddy
New Years Eve
lots more foods

Where is the time going? It seems like just yesterday I was in labor and now we are more than half way to your first birthday. These past 7 months have been truly amazing and I really don't know what we did before you. You are getting to that stage where you just love to learn and explore and I could watch you for hours. Even when you are having a rough night or a minor meltdown it is hard to stay upset because of how cute you are.. this could get us into trouble later! I am so excited to watch you continue to grow... but maybe you could slow down just a little bit. You are on your way to being a toddler and I am just not ready for that. You are already so independent! We are very proud of you and always will be!

Where we've been...

I just want to keep you all updated on where we are. Things have been very overwhelming here with my job which is why we haven't been posting. Payton is all over the place and I have pictures to post and stories to share, just no time to tell them. Her 7 month post has been typed since Jan 16 but I haven't had time to put pictures in. I am so glad that I have the followers I have and hopefully soon enough I will get back to posting! I have minimal time to even be on my computer anymore so as soon as I can, I will be back to reading your blogs and commenting. Believe me when I say I will read back as far as I have missed because I am that interested!
