My First Ever Review and Giveaway...

I am so beyond excited to be writing this review and offering a giveaway to all my blog readers. A couple weeks ago, I entered a contest to win My Memories Suite software from A Little Inspiration and what do you know- I won! (My Memories offered me a free copy, but I do already have it- I didn't want to mislead anyone here.) In the midst of a rough couple weeks, this made my night. I had been reading lots of reviews of this software and knew it was something I was going to end up getting. If you all recall, my cousin scrapped my blog for part of my shower gift and left me lots of supplies to finish it (Jamie, I swear I will finish it). This started my fascination with scrapbooking and I have now added one more hobby to my never ending list of hobbies. Before finding this software, I thought the only way to do digital scrapbooking was with photoshop. Something I had no desire to fully learn. Who has time to learn an entire new program with umpteen million hobbies and a new baby? I know I don't. That is one of the reasons I love this software. It is as simple as opening the program and starting up.

I was so excited about this software that I downloaded and installed it (and a few kits) and went right to it. I didn't read a single thing and did pretty good. However, if you are like me, and want to learn everything you can, there are great Video tutorials that will help you out. They are really easy to understand. The software comes loaded with tons of layouts, papers, embellishments, etc. But if you want more there are tons of freebies on their site, as well as plenty of kits and templates that can be purchased. The prices range from $.69 to $9.99. Personally, I don't find this to be too much, since if you are scrapbooking the "old fashioned" way, you are spending upwards of $10 for one page, and once those stickers are gone, they are gone. These digital ones are great because you can use them as many times as you want. Hi- budget friendly is the way to go!

When you finish a page or book it is very easy to share and/or turn into a book. And if you have any questions, the people on their facebook page are very willing to help!

Here are a couple pages that I have created since getting the software. The first one, I used a kit that I purchased titled "Pigskin Party" and the second one I used another purchased kit "Sparkler". Even though I used purchased kits, there is plenty that can be done with what comes in the software or using the freebies on their site. I had already had in mind what pages I wanted to make, so that is why I used purchased kits right away. But if you aren't sure what you want to make, play around with the stuff that comes in the software- you will soon become addicted and add one more way to procrastinate to your list. You can also create other things using this software, such as cards and gift tags... I haven't ventured into those yet because I really wanted to make pages of Payton (how could I not make pages to put her pretty face on). But my plans are to use this software to make some Christmas cards!

So now that you made it through that long winded review... How would you like to win a copy of this digital scrapbook software for yourself, here is what you can do...

Mandatory entry: you must be a follower of this blog AND visit My Memories, look through all their kits, and come back and post a comment saying what your favorite is.

Additional entries: (post a separate comment for each additional entry)
* follow My Memories blog here
* "like" their facebook page here
* follow My Memories on twitter here
* post about this giveaway with a link back to it in your own blog (you must leave a link to the post in the comment)
* vote for us on top baby blogs (that little brown button at the bottom of my posts)

This giveaway will end on September 23rd and I will use a random generator to select the winner. If you just can't wait until then to see if you win, and are ready to get right into it now, My Memories has offered a code to my readers for $10 off the purchase of the software and a $10 coupon to use towards the purchase of kits/templates/etc in their store. The code for that is
STMMMS54987
Just copy and paste this code into the promo code box when you go to your shopping cart. This code will remain active even after the winner is selected, so even if you don't win, you will still be able to grab this software at this great price!

One  two more things I want to add about My Memories is their design club. While this isn't part of the software review, I think it is something worth sharing. It costs $5.99 a month and you get 5 new kits a month before they are released at a combined value of anywhere from $15-$30. You also get 5% off in the store (this increases 5% every 6 months you are in the club, up to a total of 20% off) and occasional extra freebies. For more info on this, go here. The second thing is that they have fantastic customer care. Between their facebook page and emailing them, I have gotten responses back practically immediately. Trust me, you don't want to miss out on this!

Now what are you waiting for?? Get entering because this software is beyond worth it!!!
